Under Muslim marriage act, you can ask for dissolution of marriage in form of khula from your husband. Khula can be performed in following circumstances:

• When husband got married to additional wife which is against the provisions of muslim laws;
• When wife is not able to locate husband or know about his where about for last 4 years or more;
• When husband neglects to provide maintenance to his wife;
• When husband is sentenced for imprisonment of life term for 7 years or more;
• When husband fails to perform his marital obligations without any specific reason for a period of 3 years;
• If wife founds out that husband is impotent at the time of solemnization of marriage;
• If she got married before attaining the age of 16 years by her father or guardian and she repudiated it before 18 years;
• If husband is suffering from incurable disease and has become insane;
• If he restrict her to perform religious activities;
• If he treats her with cruelty etc.

Any other reason which is against the provision of Muslim law
