There is a time limit prescribed for filing charge sheet under Section 420 of IPC in cheating case. This limitation is prescribed under Section 167 (2) of Crpc for filing charge sheet. The time limit is 90 days where offence is punishable with death or life time imprisonment cases. And it is 60 days, where investigation to be done by police is related to any other offence.
