What is the procedure to file patent in India?

Filing patent in India is long and complex procedure. Trademark offices are located a different metro cities where you can file application or you can also file application online. Offices are located in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. You need to file an application along with certain documents.   

• The application for patent need to be filed in prescribed form i.e. Form 1 in duplicate;
• Along with that complete description of product need to specify in Form 2;
• Need to provide full description of product;
• Claims, if any;
• Drawing or picture, if any;
• Statement and undertaking of party in prescribed form;
• Signed and verified Power of attorney;
• Declaration in prescribed form;
• Certified true copy of important documents;
• Statutory fee need to be accompanied with application;

The patent application is published after duration of 18 months from the date of filing of an application. The filing of patent and to remove its objections is complex procedure. So it is always advisable to take help of well-renowned lawyer to avoid any issue and fast disposal of application.
